Santa’s on the green

Our next event in the Winter Swing series is the Santa Scramble Dash on 20 December.

Dig out your Santa jumper and book your place now. We have a new sponsor in Forum Technologies for this event, so you can expect some fantastic prizes and a great morning’s golf.

The opening event in the series proved hugely popular and was fully booked with 49 pairs.

Competition was fierce in the recent Winter Greensomes, with Gordon Grimmer and Lee O’Connor lifting the scratch prize and Andrew Mann and Mark Bonnela taking the handicap honours.

All five events in the Winter Swing series are free for Montrose Golf Links members as a thank you for supporting us in 2020, as well as to compensate in some way for missing the first two months of the season dues to the lockdown.

All correct entries will be entered with a chance to win, and the draw will be made on 19 December 2020.

Golfing gifts

If this has whetted your appetite for some golfing gifts, you can do a lot worse than shop local.

Our professional’s shop is open from 8am until 4pm every day up to and including Christmas Eve. Opening hours are extended by an hour next week (14-18 December) when the shop will be open till 5pm.

On offer are gift vouchers which can be used towards 2021 season tickets or a round of golf, as well as vouchers for lessons, which are available from £30.

And if you’re looking for the ideal gift to improve a loved one’s game – or the hint to drop to a loved one – there is a Christmas package of lessons. This includes one swing analysis session and a Trackman gapping session, as well as separate lessons looking at chipping, putting, bunkers and a six-hole playing lesson. All for £150.
